Fulani braids originate from the Fula (Fulani) people of West Africa – one of the largest ethnic groups in the Sahel and West Africa. For centuries, this distinctive hairstyle has been a significant part of Fula culture and identity.
The traditional Fulani style is characterized by a distinctive pattern: a central cornrow running from the front to the back of the head, with side cornrows that often incorporate intricate designs. What makes Fulani braids truly unique are the thin to medium braids that hang on the sides and back, often adorned with beads, cowrie shells, and gold rings.
At WUB Hair Studio, we honor this beautiful tradition while adding modern touches. Our stylists are trained in authentic Fulani braiding techniques and can customize the style to suit your preferences.
All service durations and appointment times shown are approximate and may vary depending on hair length, thickness, and style complexity. Please allow flexibility in your schedule.
